Prepare the Sample Sheet and Label Bags with sharpie
Please Start with the following four lines:
- Your Name
- Site Address
- Email Address

Add your Sample Descriptions:
- Kitchen Popcorn Ceiling
- Bathroom Floor Tile
- Exterior Stucco
Extract & Bag Samples
Samples need to be from the size of a pea up to the volume or area of the cap of a 2L cola bottle.
Note: This does not apply to vermiculite, which requires ½–1 cup for testing.
- Identify and place the sample into the numbered sample bag.
- On your sample sheet, add a sample description for your reference on the lab report.
- "Double Bag" Samples by Placing all sample bags into a single sealed bag
Required Sample Sizes
- For granular materials, such as popcorn ceiling or drywall mud, half a teaspoon is sufficient.
- For Floor Tiles or Lino <1 sq " required for Testing
Please package responsibly. To comply with safety regulations, all testing is conducted at the lab technician’s discretion.

Why Don’t I Need an Asbestos Test Kit?
We do supply test kits, but to make the testing process smoother for our clients—and because you likely already have the required items at home—you can use the following:
Sharpie
Pen
Piece of paper
Ziploc bags
Envelope
Small chisel or scraper
Utility knife
Water spray bottle
Simply follow the testing steps as instructed—it’s super easy!
What Are the Costs and Payment Details?
Our price is $70/ per sample, and that’s final—what you see is what you pay.
We never add extra charges, and we do not require upfront payments or ask for customers to provide credit card details directly to us.
You will receive your lab report and invoice at the same time via email after your sample has been tested.
All payments are processed securely through Stripe. We do not access, collect, or store your payment information. Other than invoice information, all customer data is deleted within 30 days of the order date.

Write Kap-Enviro Testing and your tracking order number on the outside of your drop-off or mail-in envelope. Then proceed to drop off or mail your prepared sample.
What Do I Do When I Arrive at Your Location? Is There More Paperwork?
No. Simply drop your envelope into the drop box—we’ll take it from there.
Do Your Reports Meet Certification and Compliance Standards?
Yes. Our labs are CALA- and NVLAP-certified and use the EPA 600/R PLM (Polarized Light Microscopy) method for bulk sample analysis, ensuring all results meet professional standards.
All reports are handled professionally and provided only to our clients. Your results are never shared with third parties.
